“It just happens spontaneously we are practicing for a show or what have you and then someone has a riff or another person just starts playing something in the middle of when we’re not playing a song that’s already written and then we all kind of just jam on it or person would have something written already and we all kind of just jump in and fill in the blanks you know. Every song is different, the writing process for each song is like completely different cause everyone understands it’s all equal so like everyone can write a song and it doesn’t matter what kind of genre it sounds like or whatever.
So I don’t know how I would describe the writing process — I’d say that it’s probably spontaneous that is what I would say.” -Lauren, The Lovely Bad Things on songwriting

WHAT’S IT LIKE TO BE IN A BAND OF ALL GUYS?
That’s totally fine just because I have known them for years and years and years. They are like my brothers and Brayden is my boyfriend. It’s not the type of situation where we are like a boyfriend and girlfriend who are at risk of breaking up and ruining the whole band and all that kind of stuff.
People ask me that question a lot because I mean it seems like it would be kind of crappy being the only girl around especially with all guys when you are on tour and the other bands are all guys. But I kind of like it actually it’s easier to relax. Around other females I think you kind of feel a little more stressed out. You’re like, ‘ok I have to be a friend with this girl just because she’s the only girl here’.
DESCRIBE EACH GUY FOR US:
Brayden: He is more like the logical person, always pulling the reins in and getting us organized. He is the one that’s stressed at all times, like we gotta get here at this time.
Camron: (who is his Brayden’s brother is kinda like me) He’s got ADD with hyper activity and if we get on a role together it’s too much. You can’t stop it and it’s exhausting for the other two. We can’t stop talking or being loud or annoying together. Camron is kind of like the joker. He likes to annoy people that don’t want to play with him.
Tim: He is more logical, you can tell he’s handles the business side of things that we aren’t that comfortable with. He’s really good at it and he’s more inclined towards those types of things. He will talk to the promoter at the end of the night about settling when we don’t want to. Or if we don’t wanna call somebody cause we don’t want to– he will do it. We can rely on him. He’s like a big host or something– if you go to his house he will ask us if you need anything or can he get you anything — he’s just super sweet like that.
I don’t know if I described them all adequately but I think I did. They’re funny. They all have really eccentric personalities. When we are in the mood — we won’t stop laughing. We are together all the time, we fight and bicker sometimes but we’re family.
