There really is nothing better than a good one-piece suit. I’ve been obsessed with this one for so long, and I finally picked one up while in Cali at our Volcom warehouse. It’s got the best cut-outs and hugs in all the right places. I want to ride waves in this baby, or just lay out by the pool and just dangle my feet over the lounge chair. It fits so well I could literally hop in the ocean and not worry that the waves will rip my swimsuit right off hehe! Here, I’m snapped at my house in LA…munching on fresh pineapple and using my tie-dye kimono as a sun shade. What I loved about my time at home was how hot it was. There were afternons when all that was needed was the bikini, oversize sunglasses, and a big bottle of sunscreen. I can’t wait for memorial Day Weekend, when I’m back on the beach! I guess I’ll be here in New York though, soaking in as much rays as I can. I’m just dying for that sunshine, and some Vitamin D.

Hope you all like!! Loved this suit so much xx

So finally, both crazy weekends of Coachella 2013 are officially OVER! Yes, there’s still dust covering my boots, bikinis lying all over my bedroom in LA, oh, and body paint still out on my bathroom counters. I was at Coachella weekend 1, and let me tell you, I am only now getting back into the groove of things….getting that much needed sleep and vitamin water to help me recover! Though most of my pals were out party hopping across Palm Springs desert, I found myself making my way to the festival a bit earlier with the other music lovers. I mean, I am totally one of those girls dancing during the band’s entire set! I started early, and ended late. Local Natives, Tame Impala, and Red Hot Chili Peppers all lit up my nights. I did get to spend downtime at our pool, snoozing on a floaty in the hot morning sun. I brought about a million bikinis, mini-skirts, band tees, and basically anything colorful and crazy. I had the most fun getting dressed, and still, for one more week, I’ll be living out of my Coachella suitcase. We used paint to draw up and down our arms, and chalk to color our hair. And it isn’t any news that every festival comes with a new hat! This time? A rockin’ leather Minnetonka piece, perfect for braving those 2 am gusty winds! I’m in LA for one more week, and already I’m missing our Palm Springs weekend, one that went by just too fast. Palm Springs really is just a a lonely and quiet place when Coachella’s over…probably missing all the havoc and noise already. Luckily I’ve got loads of  photos and music to create memories that will last a lifetime. I can’t wait till the next time I’m back. Until then, I’ll be re-playing these two tunes from Coachella, making me miss the weekend, and the people that made it so special. I love you California.

It’s crazy how the mood of the city can instantly change the moment the sun is out. After what’s been one incredibly LONG, and super cold NYC winter, I can finally wake up in the morning, and happily see the sun shining in from my windows. Just by taking a peek at the restaurants across the street…I can tell by if the tables and chairs are all set up outside, whether or not it’s bound to be a beautiful day. We’ve luckily had many! Suddenly, everywhere I turn there’s color. Girls in orange coats, loads of denim, and round shiny sunglasses…numerous bicycles going by in the middle of a work day. Cafe tables are beginning to fill up out front, making it easy to spot the people I know. I’m already prancing around the city in yellow shoes, and psychedelic knit vests. Flares, billowing blouses, kimonos…all are my go-to this season. Already, I am trading in the good ol’ classic wool hat for a straw hat…one that tips just perfectly down the front at it’s brim. Right now, I’ve stuffed about all of my spring/summer pieces into one giant suitcase, because guess what?! As much as I love NYC right now, I’m off for a week in California! Back to the homeland, and back to some reaaaaal gorgeous weather. It begins with  COACHELLA…where I’ll be running around the field to catch my top favorite bands, or by the pool, baking in a two-piece. Then it’s LA, home sweet home, where I can finally taste my mother’s cooking and rediscover old pieces from the closet in my old bedroom. Don’t worry, it won’t be long NYC till I’m back! For now, I’m California dreamin’.
