Summer’s on its way here in Sydney, AUS and we all know what that means- Festival time! Woohoo! We get Harvest Fest, Homebake, Big Day Out, Laneway, Sydney Fest, just to name a few! So much music and fashion it gives me goosebumps with excitement.

Volcom Australia asked me to choose some of my own outfit choices for the upcoming summer Festival circuit, so here we go……

Look 1-
I was given this Rockaway Taco tee from my mate Ty recently. Being a boy, the shirt was a Large so I cut it up, took in the sides and added darts at the bust. Boom, a new wearable Tee. Pair it with my ksubi shorts, vintage Ralph Lauren belt, boots and a floppy hat for the shade. I’m thinking Harvest Fest for this one!

Look 2-
I just wore this outfit around Bondi today and received 2 whistles and 2 “hello’s” (one from an old man eeep). So lets just say this outfit is a winner! Rag and Bone knit over my Top Shop singlet, pink Forever 21 shorts and rad new Top Shop NYC sneakers. I’m feeling Laneway for this ditty.

Look 3-
It can be really hot and then really cold at an all day Festival, so I’ve chosen this old or ‘vintage’ ksubi long sleeve over my Top Shop singlet, Urban Outfitters ecote shorts and good old converse to kick in the dirt. I feel this is the outfit for the BDO as one can get dirty.

Look 4-
These sneakers I wore for the first time walkin the streets of Manhattan and Wow did I regret that decision- they hurt, like really hurt, my feet have not recovered and its been a month now……..So you make ask- Why choose to wear them at a festival?! Well I solved the problem by cutting out a piece of the tongue. Don’t be afraid to go DIY on your gear girls- we ain’t all generic! I got that beautiful scalloped hem singlet from Top Shop too (amazing stuff there), the belt for $1.50 from a thrift store in Maine and hat from Urban Outfitters. This outfit is gotta be for standing over crowds (hence the high sneakers) in a tight area and on a hot day- its gotta be Sydney Fest.

Look 5-
I got this amazing vintage Tee at a Florida thrift store for $2. I was stoked. I can wear it real grunge or dress it up with a blazer. This time I’ve teamed it with shorts, belt and classic boots. I reckon Homebake is the winner for this choice.
