This time last year I had been dying to uproot and move. Not move from one city to another, but move in a way that you can only do when you free yourself of all tie downs.
I wanted to explore, shut everything out, be one with the moments I was living.
It’s so easy to get caught in the day to day of life and let it overcome all things you hope to do. As easy as this is to fall into this way of thinking, its imperative to not let this be a way of life.
Life can be so exciting if we let it!
I had been dying to travel for so long! My best friend had moved to South Korea to teach english & my little sister moved to Italy to study Art and I was still just where I felt I always was and finally I did something about it.
Miles, had felt similar.. and we had all reasons in the world to pass up this opportunity; we had just met (a month before), we had good jobs, we had great friends, we really did love where we lived blah blah blah the list could go on and on.. but instead we just went for it.
We started gathering all of our belonging for a garage sale, put our notice in at work, and purchased our tickets!
We set out for 2 1/2 months in the Bahamas! We had a lot of other adventures along the way before getting back here to Newport but the main destination this time last year was Long Island, Bahamas.
As you can see, we really enjoyed our bahamian days. The island had so much to explore on both land and sea!
We feel so lucky to have been able to spend that time there with the locals as well as with each other. I know that it is a time of our lives that neither of us could ever forget or take for granted.
