Miss Austin // Put A Pin On It

I have an accessory I love that has always been a go-to in my accessories case. She’s a lot like me – she’s dainty, a little mouthy, and really fun. The 1980′s are responsible for some great looks (arguably, I know) including plastic jewelry and spandex, but nothing can hold a candle to my beloved rock and roll pins. I’ve been grabbing them at shows for years. I think they add the perfect sass to certain outfits. In others situations, they can be lifesavers. Oh, that multi-functional lady, she sure is flexible.

I spiced up my favorite red boots with a pin from my college years. The Briefs! Great band, great live show.

Oh no, my purse strap broke! Have no fear because I have this bitchin’ Bronx pin that’ll fix the problem. No one can see this beauty, but I know it’s there. That’s all I need.

Come on, a fringe spandex top and a ZZ Top pin?! Shit, it doesn’t get much hotter than that.

Is that the Volcom Machu Peaches poncho sweater? Why, yes it is! It’s accentuated with an engraved “H” pin (my last name). I’ve expanded my pin collection to include some older vintage pieces, this is one of those. Also, there is…

I think I am wearing this to vote. This is my Secret Service pin (don’t ask me how I got it, seriously) on my favorite mink shawl. Isn’t she pretty? Other than to vote, I wear this to church and to smokey, dirty bars. There are some old lady initials monogrammed on the inside. Sometimes after a few vodka’s I pet those initials like a crazy old lady, but only when at said dirty bars.
(Everything in this caption is true, except the church part)

Get right out of town with that Van Halen pin! Check out the detail.

If you have some rad pins, share! Send me photos, I’ll send you photos back, just not of accessories. Wink.

Love n Kisses, Boobles.
