I am new to the Volcomunity blog, and I’m very excited to be a new guest contributor here!

I live in Newport Beach but I spent the majority of this past year traveling with my boyfriend. He surfs, which means every location we hit MUST have a breaking wave nearby. I suppose I can’t really complain.. where there is a breaking wave there is usually a sandy beach with my name all over it. I love traveling there is something so beautiful and exciting about exploring a new place and it’s culture.

Seeing as I am a curious soul, a photo fanatic and an aspiring photojournalist it only seemed right to start a blog to document all of our travels. So when we hit the road back in November, Acres to Sea – came to be!

Our site acrestosea.com started with the purpose to update our friends and family, then as a lot of blogs do, she kind of took on a life of her own. We now keep the site updated on the regular and really enjoy having a place to keep our memories & travels on record. We also cover everything from surfing to yoga to other inspiring artists/new music we love. There is quite a variety!

As wonderful as this past year of vagabonding around has been I am so happy to have had the past few months to nest and make a house a home. I live in the most adorable itty bitty cottage in Newport Beach and it seems that everyday I start a new project; carpet floors to cement floors, painting walls, adding onto my fort (yes we have a backyard so it only seemed right to build a fort) or even just re-arranging furniture .. it seems to relax me.

I love thrifting, sewing & street style, and am currently a journalism / fashion student.

I love photography, interior&graphic design, and writing.

Basically anything that lets me create, has a bit of my heart.
