A Parisian Escape

During our stay in London, we also made this last minute train ride to Paris, and just for a night! It was so “Midnight in Paris”-esque! We never really planned on going to Paris, but thought, why the hell not, and booked our tickets a day in advance. We wanted to cover as much of Paris that we could in just two entire days and so it required a lot less sleep and a lot more walking. We hopped on the Eurostar from London at about 5 am, made it to Paris just after 8 and made our first stop, Montmarte. Home to artists, and with breathtaking views of the city, Paris quickly made an impression on me! Everywhere we went, there was just so much beauty. The people, speaking low in French, and walking around town in stripes, little scarves, and ballet flats, seemed like something out of a movie. Compared to London look which is much more gritty and thrown together, the Parisians are a bit more simple…more refined. It inspired me to pack a light striped sweater and an A.P.C. coat that buttoned up, instantly made me feel like Madeline! I still dream of nights by the Eiffel Tower and bike rides. The city’s inspired me to ride my bike around New York more this fall. All I can say is, “Merci Paris.” You rock.
