Miss Austin // NYC Snapshots

By: Guest Blogger / Date Added: Thursday, July 26, 2012

I have to tell you, New York City is a whip. I need a long nap, and a foot rub after my time there. She is a pretty little thing though, isn’t she? She is a damn temptress, and I love her for it. I always fall for the temptation. Now, I don’t love her as much as my beloved Austin, but she is pretty rad. I just got back from there a few days ago, a little quick trip with one of my lady friends. We ate some great food, drank our weight in liquor (damn those bars closing at 4:00 am), walked for hours, and met some crazy as fuck New Yorkers. What else would you expect, right? It’s part of the charm. We had a great time, here are some of the snapshots from our view.

This building’s facade looks like my old geometry teacher from high school. He used to ask me to call him “Cool Cat Claussen.” True story. That is immediately what I thought of when I saw this.

View above Cool Cat Claussen’s head.

Looking down towards the basement entrance to the Chelsea Hotel. My imagination was running wild looking at this spot.

View from my hotel window. Napping.

Wonderful waterfall we stumbled upon.

Looking over FDR Dr. with view of Long Island City and the Queensboro Bridge in the distance.

Looking up at Hotel Chelsea.

Phallic #1. Flatiron building.

Phallic #2. Westside.

Teeny tiny New Jersey is seen through that slice.

Looking up from the High Line.

Enormous building adjacent to High Line.

My tired Lomo camera takin’ a load off.

I still love NYC,

Miss Austin
