Snowboarders are kind of like birds in a way… due to the nature of our sport we migrate with the seasons. Winter we spend immersed in snow, springtime we continue to search the planet for the last little pockets of winter, summer causes most of us to chase snow down to the southern hemisphere at some point, and fall we have a little bit of time to travel back to our favorite winter zones.

This summer I am coming back from an injury so there is no chasing the snow for me. Instead I have migrated to a warmer climate known as Southern California…. I am thoroughly enjoying my summertime by the beach, soaking up the sun! I have been spending the last month training, rehab-ing, paddle boarding, cooking, a little bit of gardening, hiking, and just enjoying. Even though this summer is somewhat of a forced break for me due to my injury, I am making the most of it…. there really is nothing better than a bit of summer relaxation before its time to head back to the mountains for winter!
