We just returned home from W Hotels & Burn Studios DJ Lab in Bali!
The other talented DJs in the program included: Klaus & Ameet from London a DJ/Drummer duo, Dogus Cabakcor from Istambul, Vitor Kurc from Sao Paulo, Aline Magnier from Berlin, Gio Vanhoutte from Seoul Korea along with two DJs from last year’s program Angus Wong from Hong Kong and Eiko from Tokyo.
Along with the 6 other DJs from around the globe, we spent our days in a villa at the W Retreat & Spa immersed in absorbing all things music from music supervision to the technical aspects of sound to harnessing your creativity. Our program mentors were KCRW music director and DJ Jason Bentley, W Hotel Global music director Michelangelo L’Acqua, Rob Garza of Thievery Corporation, and technical music mastermind Paul Noland.
Rocked a sunset session on the beach.
Met some amazingly cool VOLCOM fans!
Then played the main stage for the big Saturday Party: W Hotel and Burn Studios SPF 2012: 12 DJs 12 Hours featuring all the DJ lab students and mentors!
These little ones were sooo wonderful! They told us they’ve grown up listening to house music!
