Already, I am missing the Midwest! The vibe was so “All-American” which I loved. Though I was in Chicago for my shoot, the extra days spent roaming the city streets made the entire trip feel a lot more like a really long vacation. I even dragged Dylana out of Philadelphia with me to explore! We spent early mornings by the beaches of Lake Michigan, and late nights out on the town in Wicker Park by our friend’s house (I think every city I travel in, I know a local!) I swear we barely got any sleep the entire time we were there, only because we wanted to see as much as possible. The bikinis and tanned limbs I saw around Oak Street Beach got me missing California, while the subways and outskirts of the city got me thinking of NYC. It was the perfect mix and made me feel like I was getting the best of both worlds. Anyways, in between all the craziness being out and about, it was nice to kick back in our hotel room with 312 beers and Wayne’s World on repeat (THEY WERE FROM ILLINOIS, HOW COOL IS THAT?!) Chicago, you rock and I cannot wait to visit you again.
